night football as Aston Villa played Nottingham Forest in a crucial game in the race to

qualify for the Champions League. Here's how things sounded when the game finished.

Ashton Villa, prime for Paris with a domestic victory that keeps them on course to be in the

Champions League again next season.

They've moved up onto the shoulders of the other contenders, thanks to a blistering start given to them by Morgan Rogers and Doniol Marlon with his second goal in the space of a week.

But for Emory's team it was a nervous second half.

Forrest who weren't really at the races before the break, changed things in the second period.

A substitute in Schottersilver provided them very much with the spark that they needed and got the goal that made Aston Villa ever more anxious.

Elliot Anderson gave it a go but his efforts tended to be off target.

Jota Silvers was the one they got that counted but in the end it wasn't enough to usurp Aston Villa.

So a bit of a setback for Forrest but they're still in a good position to get to the Champions League next season.

And Villa are coming in strong at the close of this campaign too.

Ashton Villa two, Nottingham Forest won.

Jamie, as Rob Hawthorne said, it's not the end of the world for Nottingham Forest.

They're still very well placed in terms of Champions League qualification.
