Saturday Night football came from West London this

week as Brentford played Aston Villa at the G-Tech Community Stadium. Here's how things

sounded at full time. Astinvilla banished their post-European blues.

A rare win for them following a Champions League match, earned by Olly Watkins, who for the second season running here is the match winner against his former club.

He beat Mark Fleckon from the angle, although the goalkeeper might look at his own contribution to that.

And then Villa held out.

They had a second goal ruled out when Morgan Rogers was disallowed for an offside decision against Watkins.

Brentford went close when Keene Lewis Potter hit the post,

but for all their efforts, they couldn't get back into it

and they've now gone seven league games here without winning.

But for Villa, it's their second win on the road in 10 Premier League outings

and sets them up perfectly for the second leg of their match against Club Bruges.
