Okay, today we are talking sojourner truth. I know a tiny little bit about her. I know that

she was alive in the 1800s and got to see, and it was an

abolitionist, and so I'm sure I'll learn a lot of things here, but what do we need to know,

Garron? Who is Sojourner Truth? All right, per the usual way we like to approach stories of people

from history. We're going to jump in at the beginning

and discover her story kind of organically by going through it. So you already tip the hand that

she's an abolitionist, but we're just going to work with that. So her birth name was not sojourner

truth. Her birth name was Isabella Bomfrey. And she mostly went by Bell while she was young. She was born,

we don't know the exact year, but around 1800, maybe a couple of years before that. She didn't

know the exact year because she was enslaved from birth. She was the daughter of James and Betsy,
