And today, I'm joined by our associate editor of defense, Dominic Nichols,

and staff writer at The Spectator, Svetlana Morinetz. But first, over to Dom, for the latest from

the battlefield. Let's start back in Russia. So for the second time, indeed the second night in a row,

Russia's 112th missile brigade has been targeted by drones. The 112th, you'll remember,

is one of the two units reportedly responsible for last

Sunday's shelling of Sumi that killed 35 people. Now, it's thought the strike last night hit

hangars used to store his scandah missiles at the base in the town of Shoya in Ivanovo Oblast.

That's about 200 kilometres northeast of Moscow, six or 700 kilometres from the nearest bit of Ukraine.

Yeah, good question. What is Russian air defence doing? We're not entirely sure. They say they shot down 71 Ukrainian drones last night, but clearly something got through, because there's lots of images on social media you'll find of the base up in flames again.
