When you're hunting, whether it's in the deep back country or the front country, it behooves you to have a really good support

system on your rifle and your shooting instrument so that you can make the most of that moment of truth and kill cleanly and ethically.

ramblings around the United States and both my daughters and I have Muldair tags and it's open mule deer season here in Idaho. We had, oh what, an hour of daylight left?

Sophie initially and we went up the hills around behind my place here and snuck into a spot that it's a little hollow that often holds a few bucks and it got blown out really bad opening morning two or three days ago and we just haven't been back in there since a neighbor shot across and and hit a't know if they're

about poorly right below us that Audrey and I've been watching.

We're kind of disappointed about that.

But and I don't know if they ever did find that buck.

He got in the trees and there were a bunch of people and they're looking for a long time. I kind of figured it the spot would be blown, but it was the only good spot close enough. We figured we'd go take a look.

And it was, it was, I've not done any mule deer hunting.

I've had plenty of time in front of mule deer,

but never hunted them before.

So it was great to be out with you and your daughters last night.
