Hey, welcome to a special edition of the I-Fam Boy comic book podcast.

We're here because we had the opportunity to speak with Gerard Way, who's the writer of the Umbrella Academy, which is a new series from Dark Horse Comics, with art by Gabriel Ba and colors by Dave Stewart.

Gerard was nice enough to take some time out of his busy tour schedule with his band My Chemical

Romance to talk to us, to talk about the umbrella academy where he wants to take it, the future

of the series, his relationship with Grant Morrison, as well, some other great comic book

chatting.

So I had a great time talking to him.

Can you describe it in like your own words or your kind of pitch for the Umbrella Academy?

Yeah, it's usually tough. Like, there was actually, I always refer to this really bad review, the comic got issue one.

And in the review, like in the first paragraph,

he basically described everything I always want to read in a comic,
