0:06.7	fertility doctor and today we are talking more about IVF restrictions on IVF and the Supreme Court ruling in Alabama.
0:16.0	Specifically what I want to talk about is the Italian experience and what I mean is that when we see pro-life Republican or conservative
0:28.3	politicians coming out after the Alabama Supreme Court ruling and saying,
0:34.4	no, we support IVF.
0:38.0	We support people having babies.
0:41.5	They're using very specific terminology, and I want to explain this to you.
0:46.2	I think the place where we're going to start.
0:48.7	I think obviously if you don't know what I'm talking about, I have an episode right before this talking about embryos and the Alabama
0:55.1	Supreme Court ruling. The one-liner is that embryos were declared children in a case where embryos were accidentally destroyed and some couples wanted to sue, they want to get damages, which it's a devastating thing to have something happen to embryo's clinic.
1:15.8	Absolutely, there's some fault and some pieces of this because how could a random
1:20.4	person get in? However, in order to get more money or to advance a political
1:27.8	agenda, the case was brought that this wasn't just negligence or destruction of property, that they wanted
1:35.4	to see under wrongful death of children.
1:38.2	And if embryos are children, it places a lot of restrictions.
1:42.0	And this is what I want to talk about
1:44.4	because what you're seeing right now
1:46.6	is a complete halt on anything that has to do with an embryo.
1:50.3	Specifically because this was a wrongful death claim, which is even more severe and
1:56.8	restrictive than what we have seen with the Italian law 40, which is a really good case study for us to understand
