Hello, everyone. Welcome to Slash Film Daily. Today is Thursday, April 10th, 2025. On today's episode of the show, we're going to have a spoiler-free conversation about Christopher Landon's newest movie Drop, and we'll present an interview with director, Christopher Landon.

0:14.1

My name is Ben Pearson. I'm an editor at Slashfilm.com, and I'm joined on today's episode by Slash Film Editor BJ Colangelo.

0:20.4

Hi, hi, hi.

0:22.2

And staff writer Ryan Scott.

0:24.0

Hey, hey, everyone.

0:24.6

How's it going?

0:25.7

All right.

0:26.2

I want to make it crystal clear right at the top that this episode is not going to spoil anything at all about this movie beyond what is in the trailers.

0:33.5

We're recording this a little early, and at this point, I have not even had the chance to see the film yet, although I'm very intrigued by the marketing. And I'm especially intrigued by Megan Fahey, who I know from the White Lotus Season 2, leading the charge here. So let's start there. B.J., what did you think about Megan Fahey as the lead of this movie? Oh, she is incredible. I think that the White Lotus is probably

0:56.1

most people's introductions to her, but she's been working consistently for a while. I also am a

1:02.0

huge fan of her work on Broadway. She was a next to normal. Shout out to all my musical theater

1:06.7

geeks out there. She's absolutely fantastic, and she was, I think, like the most underrated person

1:11.8

in season two of White Lotus. So seeing her have the chance to completely dominate a film and

1:19.3

be at the center was such a joy because she's great. And I hope that this movie is what makes

1:25.0

everyone else in the industry go, oh, wow, we're completely underutilizing

1:28.7

her. She should be a megastar. Yeah, Ryan, you and I were talking on a relatively recent

1:34.0

podcast about how we think sort of mid-budget movies should still be made because they're

1:39.7

important for the industry and they're important for actors like this to get a shot like this, to sort

1:45.5

of graduate from TV level up to the big leagues, as it were, even though that line is

1:50.7

blurier than it's ever been. But you know what I mean. So what did you think about Megan Fahey

1:54.6

in this film? She's fantastic. I think this is the first thing I've ever seen her in, you know,

2:00.7

because I'm not much of a TV
