The enterprise is making a routine supply run to the Tantalus 5 penal colony, which I surmise

is a settlement comprised entirely of Dix.

Actually, a penal colony is for violent prisoners. It has nothing to do with actual penises.

Ah, my mistake. The crewmen are having a rough time of it, beaming, until Kirk comes to school

them in the ways of penal shields. Surprisingly, the colony also has something to beam up, a crate of classified research materials.
