The Pittsburgh Steelers plan to have an increased role for Kenny Pickett in Matt Canada's offense compared to 2022, but what will that look like? Ultimately, it will allow Pickett to throw more, and in different situations. The Steelers didn't target the middle of the field as much in 2022, or take as many risks, but that should change to a degree in 2023 with Pickett as a more experienced player. But who else should see the most expanded role for the Steelers? On the offense, the answers include the likes of Najee Harris, Pat Freiermuth and George Pickens, who each have gotten more experience in Canada's offense. On defense, Damontae Kazee's expanded role after a year with the Steelers should free up Minkah Fitzpatrick's flexibility in the secondary, while DeMarvin Leal is a bigger answer for the defensive line than many people know.
