All right, Steelers fans, lots to discuss.

We're going to get to the wide receiver stuff in a bit, but we got to talk about the things the Steelers have actually done.

They have made a move to free up more cap space. And I'll clarify what that, what that is here.

Now, this, this announced from Jerry Doolock of the Post Gazette, the Steelers restructured the deal with Cole Holcomb, the linebacker that they signed two years ago in free agency.

He hasn't played for about a year and a half because of an injury. He suffered in the 2023 season. But he was entering the final year of his deal. Apparently,

they're converting some of that money to signing bonus money. He was a $7.6 million cap. According to Gary,

or Jerry Duleck, this is going to be a $5 million savings in salary cap space.

So what does that mean?

Well, according to what over the cap.com has the Steelers slated at right now,

the Steelers before that move had $59.6 million in cap space.

So if it's about $5 million, or he says it's almost $5 million, let's say $4.9,

let's just round up and say it's a $5 million savings.
