Summary

After months of the lowly Nets trying and failing to get Kyrie on the court, Uncle Stevie swoops in with a phone call and the wave of a $1.5 million wand and next thing you know the vaccine mandate has been lifted! That's right, when the 2022 season kicks off it will be with the Mets at full strength! This is just the latest in a long and growing line of Steve Cohen power moves. The man doesn't miss and he's all about that business. The Mets were wheeling and dealing both on and off the field this week as all, but Chris Bassitt avoided arbitration and Pete Alonso signed up for a $7.4 million deal. On the field, Max Scherzer and Jacob deGrom were humming. deGrom looks just as good as ever and he and Max are already playing the game within the game, challenging each other to be better at the expense of every batter in the league.
