Hey, neighbor. Before we dive into this week's show, we wanted to remind all of our listeners to start reading the new books for the Girl Next Door Book Club Fall episode that will air on October 15th.

This time around, we're reading Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil and the Sherlock Holmes novel, A Study in Scarlet.

We thought these would be the perfect, classic, cozy,

mysterious books for a fall meetup of our virtual book club. Yes, I have started on midnight

in the Garden of Good and Evil, and I'm loving it so far. It's just the setting is lovely and

it's very intriguing already. I like it. I have my copy from the library,

so I'm starting this week. I'm ready. Okay. So you can read along with us, join in the discussion

on social media, and then tune in on October 15th for the episode devoted to those two books.

Of course, we will be sharing a cocktail, probably by the books but tonight i have a cocktail for

us inspired by the fact that it's still summer here in arizona it's so still summer so like we're

we've just moved into the time of the summer that i like to call active denial where we start to make

changes to like will the season to change right so we change even if the season refuses

we're just like screw it this is happening so I made a bloody Mary because to me that feels

very fallish it's not something you want to drink like on a June day you know it's like a little

heavier yeah but to me it's kind of synonymous with football season and tailgating before a game and like early, earlier in the day drink.

The brunch game.

Yeah.

So I did a Bloody Mary.
