Hello, fellow rebel capitals, hope you're well. So we've got new inflation data that came out.

Woo! It was hot. So we've got to dive into the details there. Now, what's crazy is what stocks did

after the news came out. What's even more crazy is what interest rates did, the 10-year treasury yield and the two-year

treasury yield. We're going to talk about that. We're going to talk about Lulu Lamon. We're going to

talk about what's happening with the consumer. Oh, boy, tons and tons and tons of stuff to dive into.

I'm super excited for this one, guys. So let's start by going over to CNBC.

Yes. Nope, no, no, not that one. Not that one. This one right here. Core inflation. And the reason why this is such a big deal is because supposedly this is the one that the Fed really pays attention to.

So core PCE, core inflation in February, hits 2.8%.

So this was higher than expected.

Spending increases 0.4%.

Now, you guys, you got to pay close attention to this right now, because although

spending did increase 0.4%, I don't think that's a just for inflation, it came in lower

than expected. So the inflation data was exceeded expectations, which quote unquote hot, right?

But the spending, the consumer component of this missed expectations, right?

Now, where this is really fascinating, actually, we'll get to that in a moment.

Let's go over the key talking points.

I don't want to bounce around here too much. So the core PCE, you got it. And by the year,

by the way, that was year of a year, the 2.8. And consumer spending accelerated to 0.4% for the month below,

below the 0.5 forecast. Now, just looking at that, you're like, eh, I mean, it's not that big of a miss, right?

And it's just like the inflation.

It wasn't that big of a beat, if you will.

It wasn't that hot.
