We know that many people form deep connections with trees for all sorts of reason. Take the

recent felling of the sycamore gap tree along Hadrian's wall in Northumberland. There was a huge

public outcry when that came down and a real sense of loss and grieving. Jessica Kerr is a cellist

living and working in Glasgow. In her musical and environmental

projects, stories of people and trees, she's been gathering personal accounts from people who have

a special connection to particular trees. A selection of these stories has then inspired some

new musical compositions.

I met up with Jessica in Maxwell Park in the south side of the city
