Hi and welcome to Art Juice, this is honest, generous and humorous conversations to feed your creative soul and get you thinking with me Louise Fletcher and me Alice Sheridan and this week we wanted to talk about something that is fairly relevant for both of us I think at the moment but also hopefully relevant for you, which is studio setup.

And when we say studio, meaning whatever space you work in, because some people work in a bedroom,

some people work at a kitchen table, some people work outside,

but setting up process how you were.

So that should be an interesting conversation, but before we get to that, I haven't seen you for a while Alice so what have you been up to?

I have been doing lots of things all the things it's been been quite fun. So we had, we had an in-person event.

Oh yeah, yeah, which I was due to the co-host with Kelly Wynne and then three days before, two days before,

her father died and she couldn't fly over and come.

So I was suddenly hosting three days on my own.

So that was a step up challenge.

But also, do you know what, so thankful for all the work that I've done, all the support that I've had, the people

that I've met along the way, I mean, G put it, look, it wasn't, it's not like a big

threatening difficult thing in my life, right? This was a lovely gathering of like-minded souls and I have never done anything like that before.

So if it was, yeah, it was kind of a big deal and people said to me afterwards,

have you ever spoken life in front of people before and I was like no and they were like,

oh, I would never have known because the thing that was really interesting was I went very quickly from oh I have to do this all on my own to I get to do this all on my own. How does this look? This has to now be different. This has to evolve. I'm going to have to think on my feet. I'm going to have to change what we had planned. But what does this allow was the first thing and it was really interesting how quickly I was able to do that and also to really think okay which are the bits that feel

exciting where are the opportunities which are the bits that feel like it

might be too much or I might need some outside help and I had you know I was on my way to see somebody who is kind of

part of my emotional development support learning Inquisition journey at the moment.

So the timing of that was extraordinary and also to call in somebody to help to do a guest session for us on

the second day who was just incredible. So it was really extraordinary and it kind of left me buzzing.

Honestly, it's so fabulous to have people together in a space, really, really fabulous. And I also know that there are things that I could or would do better and it wasn't perfect and that's all right you know yeah but it was it was a lovely
