And we've been talking about those.

Just to review a little bit, you may remember three or four weeks ago we talked about Charles

Augustus Briggs, the man who on January 20th, 1891, openly attacked the Bible. He was appointed

the head of the Department of Biblical Theology at Union Seminary in New York. His inauguration

speech on January 20th, 1891, openly attacked the Bible.

One quote from his speech, of course, if I read the whole speech, it would take an hour,

but one quote from his speech is, quote, there is nothing divine in the text, in its letters, words, or clauses, period."

So Charles Augustus Briggs, head of the Department of Biblical Theology at Union Theological

Seminary, said the Bible is, well, it ain't what you think it is. So 1891, a lot of people have said that

was the dawn of the age of apostasy. I tend to think it started a bit sooner than that,

but we could discuss that. Apostasy ignores the Bible because it adjudges the Bible to be worthless, essentially.

It has very carefully established scholarship to prove that the Bible is worthless.

So what's in the Bible?

Well, the Bible's the Word of God.

It talks about God.
