Ms. Boone, court sentences you to life.

That from an Orlando courtroom Monday after Sarah Boone was convicted last month for

the 2020 killing of her boyfriend, George Torres.

Boone made headlines when Torres died of suffocation after she zipped him into a suitcase,

leaving him to die during a drunken game of hide-and-seek.

Boone originally claimed that she fell asleep, thinking Torres could get out on his own,

and only when she woke up did she go looking for him and found him dead. However, authorities

found cell phone videos showing Torres yelling from inside the suitcase that he couldn't breathe

and calling out her name for help. During sentencing, Boone argued that she was a victim of

domestic violence at Torres' hands and fell in love with a monster,

but did apologize. Forgive me, George. Forgive me, Torres family. Forgive me, Judge Kranick.
