Let's turn over to 2 Timothy, chapter 2.

I've been talking about discipleship.

And I know that this probably isn't one of those messages that gets everybody shouting and screaming,

but it's good for you.

This is like your vegetables.

May not like it as much as dessert, but boy it'll help you, amen.

So we've been talking about discipleship and man last night the things that Jesus said, you cannot be my disciple if you don't have a relative

hatred for yourself and for every other relationship, for your own desires and everything.

You have to count the cost.

You cannot be as a disciple if you don't do that.

That was a strong word.

But I tell you, it is so liberating when you just figure out that there's only one God, you are not

him.

And so if God tells you to do something, end a discussion. And you just do it. It is so liberating. It takes all the

pressure off of you. You don't have to get God to do anything. You don't twist his

arm. It's like John was giving testimony. He was going

to get up and minister, but God just took over and all he just let it happen. That's a great way

to live. And I tell you, it's by far the best, you get the best results.
