Welcome to another episode of Behind the Knife. I'm your host Shreya Gupta, along with Dr.

Patrick Georgeoff and today a very special guest on Behind the Knife. A legend and

an expert in the field of surgical oncology, Dr. Michael D. Angelica. Dr. D. Angelica

received his medical degree from Tufts University in 93, followed by his Gen Surge Residency

at University of Connecticut. During his surgical residency, he did his two-year research

fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering and eventually finished his surgical oncology

fellowship at the same institution, and he has been a staff surgeon at MSK since then.

He currently holds his the Inet Hopped Chair of Surgery, serves as a wise chair of education

and an attending surgeon at MSK and professor of surgery at Cornell. Dr. D. Angelica is currently

the program director for both the CGSO and HPV fellowships. If his name looks very familiar

to you, it's because he's published over 300 peer-reviewed manuscripts, humorous textbook

chapters and reviews. He's the co-editor of the Bloomgarts textbook in HPV and pancreatic
