Hey guys and welcome to the Extra Murder in the News podcast that I promised you that you guys could have this week.

Um, I just have so many articles and so many of them are important and good and shareworthy that I just thought I would add an extra one during spooky month. Why not, right?

So as the story always goes, these are articles that are sent to me by you guys, beloved's my loves and so I don't read them past the title

because I want us to react to these together we are reacting together. That also means that I'm going to

mispronounce things so take it easy on me because I'm I'm very fragile.

Yeah I'm not that fragile. Okay, so let's just jump right in. This is coming

from Fox5 Atlanta.com Fox5 Atlanta. The title, I don't know if this guy, if like he's the bad guy or if he's a little bit of a hero, he's definitely the bad guy.

And a little bit the hero. So Georgia mayor suspended after arrest for leaving

gin in ditches for inmates or in a ditch for inmates, gin,

g-in the alcohol.

Coming from Thompson, Georgia.

The mayor of a small Georgia town has been suspended by Governor Brian Kemp after being charged with providing alcohol to a group of prisoners assigned

a tour to a work crew.

Thompson Mayor Benjamin, aka Benji, Cary Cranford, 52, was indicted in August and arrested shortly

after by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. He just looks like a normal nice guy, he just looks like a normal

guy. He's actually kind of giving me Jeff Daniels' vibes.

So according to the Fox News, Cranford drove to a store on June 3rd and bought a bottle

of Seagram's extra dry gin.

He then left it in a ditch along Georgia Highway 150 in Thompson for a work crew of state prisoners

from the Jefferson County Correctional Institution.
