pressures of a creative life and much, much more. Today I'm going to be talking to Susie McCabe, who was,

until recently, a huge gap in my knowledge of the comedy pantheon.

She's a new discovery for me and I hope for you too if you're unfamiliar with her.

She continues to be one of the fastest selling acts at the Glasgow International Comedy Festival.

She has multiple Scottish comedy awards under her belt and she is emphatically

Glasweigian and we're going to find out what that means in the first half of this episode

as we discuss Susie's meteoric.

And I don't use that term lightly.

This is a meteoric rise in comedy.

We're going to talk about her experience working in manual labor

and bringing that into her comedy, not just in terms of her material,

her approach, but also her whole understanding of what it means to be a person.
