Thanks for coming on the show. Thank you. FBI agent, a very long career. You released the book,

Mafia Take Down. You tried to bring down, well, you did bring down a lot of people in the Genoves family.

Some people say that's the biggest and strongest mafia family, is that

correct? Yeah, historically when you look at the families going back to the origin,

the Genovese family is considered the most sophisticated, discreet, secretive family,

but treachery in all families. But the thing about the Genevievees family, there's not many people who became snitches.

I didn't know that until I actually read that today.

Well, the way it comes across is, again, you have cooperating witnesses, and what I would describe,

a cooperating witness is an individual who agrees to testify in his cooperation. So he'll make recordings and he'll testify. However,

there are numerous informants, and informants are discrete. So they provide information. It's just,

are you working it? Are you addressing it? But yes, they're sophisticated. Yes, they're the complex.

They try to put acting bosses, street bosses, you know, out there to take the heat and to insulate and protect the administration.

But at the same time, it's like who is focused on them.

And every day they have to participate in criminal conversations

because of all the things they're involved in.

So it's, you know, how do you catch them?

And how do you catch the most powerful ones?

It's a process.
