So Kistinger officially left office in 1977 and then afterwards he started a quote-unquote civilian career I guess you could call it.

He was offered an endowed chair at Columbia University in the United States, which was revoked because of massive student

opposition to the appointment.

Nobody of the student body wanted them there, so we didn't do it.

Of course, after this became national

and then eventually even international media coverage,

which was embarrassing for the man.

So he decided not to take up the position.

In the end, instead he was appointed to the Center for

appointed as a what's it called member for the Center for Strategic

International Studies at Georgetown's University.

International Studies.

It's a generic cringe think tank, very run-of-the-mill, pro-war, owned by billionaires, essentially

or supported by billionaires, that kind of stuff.

And it's been titled America's Number One Think Tank and the funding you could literally put your hand in a hat of all the possible worst examples and all of them come up.
