Hello, everybody and welcome back to the D program.

Today we have a fabulous episode.

Today is a episode covering the historical as well as modern attempts of suppression of the

left, be it parties or individuals, it doesn't matter.

That is a recurrent trend of our movement, which I guess is a merit.

It's kind of like the CIA merit of excellent journalists. Yeah. Two bullets in the back of that. It's kind of like the CIA merit of excellent journalism.

It's kind of one of those. I wrote a cute little intro here, but the suppression, censorship,

and persecution of leftist movements has been a recurring theme of our movement, with these measures

often driven by governments, corporations, and other power structures seeking to maintain the interests of capital.

A little reminder or addendum, I guess, to everybody, and something that should be always noted.

No movement, no political movement, has ever been as thoroughly hounded and repressed as the socialist

movement, particularly in the modern era.

There has been incredible sums and quantities

of money and guns and intelligence, organizations, entire armies, bureaucracies, mobilized

against the idea of socialism solely because it risks taking away the unearned privilege

of the narrowest litter of humanity and of course risks the economic potential of all our

collective efforts as human beings going to maintain our environment, for example, that is on fire

or ensuring the necessities of life for all over, you know, short-term profits, these little things,

right? But to remind is that capital, for capital, nothing is sacred beside itself.

I'm going to cover a little bit of how repression has been carried out a few general uh mechanisms and i'm going to jump into some

historical uh tidbits about each individual one i'll start of course with the most common form of

repression uh and it's there's like, extents to which it's
