Wow.

Because we name them now.

We never used to do that, but now we do.

And look, we've all experienced this thing.

I call it the weather porn on the news where basically every single weather event gets hyped up as being apocalyptic.

This one actually was.

This was really pretty bad.

And it swept very quickly over the UK.

But yeah, 100, well, over 100 miles.

And I think the fastest win they got was 114 per hour in Ireland,

because Ireland got it first because it came in off the Atlantic.

And this is apparently due to some phenomenon I'd never heard of called a sting jet

which is kind of heard of that either no um apparently it's the it's the air um comes down from

the troposphere and as it descends and it cools and that speeds it up and then it hits the ground

and then it moves quickly along and it's kind of like air falling down a roller coaster or a waterfall and yeah this is this is what apparently calls these very very high

winds um and it did quite a lot of damage it was not funny um i did have to-hundred-h-hour wins is no joke
