Before this year comes to an end, I wanted to take time out to say thank you.

Thank you to everyone who listens to this show.

Thank you for suggesting stories and thank you to the families of victims who have reached

out to me.

I may not have been able to reply to all of you, but know that I see you and I appreciate

all of you.

Black Girl Gone is approaching its two-year anniversary and I am both proud and overwhelmed

by the things that we've been able to accomplish.

I put a lot of work into bringing this show to you weekly.

As many of you know, I'm a mom and so balancing life and the podcast can sometimes get hard,

but knowing that people like you are listening and encouraging me is what helps keep me lonely.

Every time you tell me how much you love our show or you share my posts or you tell me

to keep going, I'm able to find the strength to write when I'm tired or record when I

just don't feel like it.

I know some of you may hear the ads before and during the show and think that this might

be some big production.

It's not.

It's me in the corner of my dining room and the booth that my husband made while he

records me from the living room and tips, toes up and down the steps to make sure that the

kids are quiet, because even after almost two years my children seemed to be completely

caught off guard when we need them to be quiet, when it's time to record.
