and beautiful ways we affect one another. Every Sunday I'll read a submission from a listener of Kelly Corrigan Wonders, could be wedding vows or about

mitzvah toast, a eulogy or retirement speech. We believe this is probably the loveliest way to tap into our better selves and remember our highest values.

This is thanks for being here comes from my friend Jenny Rose and Stretch.

She is married to my editor, Andy Ward, but I met her way before I met Andy

when she was working it real simple and they were doing a story

about me and she actually came to my house in Piedmont, California when my girls were

so small for a photo shoot and I think we even filmed something there was going to be real simple TV. I don't remember it's a lifetime ago

Anyway, Andy her husband really is the reason why thanks for being here exists.

He sent me the eulogy he wrote for his father,

and I was so moved by it that I felt instantly that I had to share it

with our listeners. And here I am, years later, sharing

Jenny's eulogy for her father, Ivan. One of the first things I think of when I think of my father is the Larchmont train station.

I'm not sure if it's still the same today, but back in the 90s, when we would take Metro

North up from New York City to visit my parents in the

suburb where I grew up, there was a system for picking up people at the station.

Cars had to wait in a specific lane and space was kind of tight so that pickup line

would often snake all the way up the hill out of the parking lot and around the

corner into town. It could sometimes get hectic, but in the years that I lived in the city and got off that train to visit,
