Hey there women of the hour listeners, we're taking this week off for Thanksgiving even

the way we've really complicated feelings about the holiday politically, but we didn't

want to leave you with nothing to listen to.

So you must remember Ashley Forbes from episode one, of course you do.

In the first episode of this podcast, Ashley and I talked about the time she took me to

a church in Harlem.

What we didn't tell you is that she's also been coming to them of my family's rituals since

then.

My favorite thing is that I've gotten to repay my church experience by bringing you to

your first Passover.

Oh my gosh.

Passover was so dope.

Yeah, so much fun.

First of all, your Aunt Bonnie is like, she's the queen bee.

She's such a queen bee and she's so cool.

I love her so much.

And she's really committed to making Paisach a beautiful holiday.

She is.

It was so lovely.

Also I had just been accused of being an anti-Semite after I wrote that New Yorker piece.

So I was like, we're going to have a real nice Passover.
