This is a decidedly different vision of a Batman and it was supposed to get here before

Christopher Nolan's before Batman begins but was Chris was Christian Bail involved that there was a

really interesting take on Batman he's poor he works at at a as a mechanic. He learns to be the Batman in a very

different way. He's in the foster care system. The fortune crashed. This is a very different Batman.

The screenplay was written by Frank Miller. It was set to be directed by one of the hot, young,

indie talents of the time.

But it didn't come together.

But that doesn't mean that we're not going to take it apart and discuss it today on an all-new episode of Robeservation.

spinner rack business to comic book stores, to video game consoles, to toy shelves, to now

blockbuster giant films as well as it feels like a gazillion streaming shows.

Comic books have gone mainstream.

They really went mainstream.

As mainstream as mainstream could possibly go since the 2000s.

Everything prior to that felt like a dress rehearsal.

Even the top-rated Incredible Hulk show that was on when I was a kid with Lou Friigno and

Ville Bixby, even Wonder Woman, and most definitely the very campy interpretation of Batman

that was on in the 60s that was a top-rated show for its time and helped DC Comics move

a lot of Batman comics, but it changed the perception of comic books,
