And here we are with our Some Sunday context series, our series of Sunday shows in which we try and get a little context for what is playing out in the first year of the second Trump administration.

We're doing little essays and pulling stuff out of the archives and at least a couple times a month we're getting together and chatting about what is in the news and then trying to focus in on one particular issue and historical context. Good morning, Jody. Hey there. Happy weekend. You want to do a little catching up? How's your week? And not political official.

Well, we sort of have our false spring underway here, and that means that I have all of these daffodils that are blooming in front of my house.

And it makes me so happy.

I know.

You know, we get it here first in the upper south.

So we're sending it up your way.

But it's coming, Kelly, to the northeast. I rode a bike over a bridge for the first time this we're sending it up your way it's coming kelly to the

right that's right like even even when it gets back down below freezing you just treat it like

it's spring you make it peace spring i broke the seal you know that's real i definitely wore a lighter

jacket the other day and i was like it's coming it's real. I definitely wore a lighter jacket the other day, and I was like, it's coming. It's coming. Like, I'm getting a little, a little excited, but we still have snow. We still have a lot of snow on the ground that just hasn't melted yet. And so until that's gone, I think I'll feel a little better. But I do think it's kind of funny that because we live on top of the hill and our kids like to slide down to

the bus stop and so Jojo got on her sled and there's a massive puddle at the bottom of the

driveway because all the snow is melting and she hit the hill and then hit a bump and then flew

into the air and landed splash into the puddle. This is like before she goes to school.
