We start off tonight with a big blowout for retail

sales growing more than twice as fast as expected in September. This despite some big

headwinds for the consumer. Continue layoffs, economic uncertainty, the lack of additional stimulus from Congress.

So can this consumer remain resilient?

Pete, throw anything at the consumer?

Seems like he or she will continue to spend.

it's about a couple of different things.

Stimulus still has the possibility that's out there and I think

by the time we get either two or just after the elections I think we'll start to see a little

bit more stimulus if we don't see it any sooner than that that'll help but anybody who's got
