Celia is a Spanish writer and biotechnologist with a PhD in cell biology.

She's also studied creative writing and worked in video game narrative.

Celia has won the Ripley Novel Award for her science fiction work, Interminosis, Coronrononauta, and both the droid novelette and

Ignotis Novela Award. For Poideselarmes, Spatula, Deroids and Druids. Many other works have

been published in a variety of anthologies and magazines. Now, Sue Burke is the author of

science fiction novels Semiosis, Interference, and Immunity Index.

In addition, she's published short stories, poetry, journalism, and essays. She's also a translator working from Spanish into English.

She is currently in Chicago and had the pleasure of living in Spain from 2000 to 2016.
