0:00.0	At about nine years old, I wanted to be a jewel thief, an international jewel thief.
0:15.3	I wanted to go to Monaco in the south of France and hit these beautiful homes and acquire some of these
0:23.5	priceless diamonds and sapphires. So here's the deal. I'm watching a movie and this movie
0:30.1	gripped me. It was the mystery of Mr. X. And in that movie they talk about a second story man. And I'm like a second
0:40.0	story man. So they enter on the second floor through a window so that you're not caught going
0:46.9	in and out of the front door. You're not even going to be seen. So I started practicing going
0:51.2	through our kitchen window. And then I moved on to the back of the
0:55.4	house because I thought if I try to go through my bedroom window on the front of the house,
0:59.7	you know, we had a lot of neighbors in the 70s that would come over and stop you or call your
1:04.3	mama. So I got the ladder and I propped it on the house and I'm going to go through that second
1:08.9	floor window. Well, I learned pretty quickly
1:11.5	a couple of things. One, the ground in the backyard was a little bit uneven and I didn't like
1:17.8	not having a floor under me. So I decided I'm going to be pretty adept at disguises because I'm
1:24.9	going to have to go through the front door so that when I go to these lavish parties, because that was my idea, that's when I would hit these houses during these parties they wouldn't know.
1:34.3	Or if they were taking a month-long vacation to Monaco or somewhere or the south of France, that's when I would burglarize the home.
1:42.3	I had a lot of ideas about the type of criminal that I would be.
1:46.8	I never did it.
1:48.3	I didn't even have the guts to go through the second floor window.
