Scotland looks the way it does for a reason.

There's a constant interplay between species that affects amongst other things how and where trees grow.

Now, a big factor in that equation are deer and how those deer are controlled.

Deer of no natural predators in Scotland, so humans have to do the job.

Recently, I want to talk this through with two men,

Tom Turnbull, who's chairman of the Association of Deer Management Groups in Scotland,

and Falcon Frost, who's a ranger and Glenn Fallach Estate.

We started off bumping up a Land Rover track on the estate,

looking what was actually growing in the verges.
