Welcome back to the Power Hour podcast and happy new year. I'm sure it's no surprise to hear that I

absolutely love this time of the year.

I sit down with a notebook and a calendar and I start making plans and setting goals.

I write down the places that I want to visit, people that I want to spend more time with this year,

races that I'm going to sign up for, projects that I want to make happen.

I mark family and

friends' birthdays on the calendar and I start looking at celebration ideas. I absolutely love it.

And for me, the new year isn't about, you know, let's make new year's resolutions or cut things out

of life. It's actually about adding things in and getting excited about the year and about the future. So of course,

the last week or so, just like everybody else, I'm sure, has been an absolute blur. I have

had no routine, no structure, the kids are off school. We have been building Lego. Oh my gosh,

so much Lego. We've been playing games, we've been watching movies.

What did we watch?

We actually not Christmas theme movies, but we watched School of Rock.

Absolute classic. Jack Black is just an icon.

And actually we watched cool runnings. What a movie.

So we've been loving that.

We've been cooking, we've been baking, we've been going out to the park. And top tip, we've been going out for walks

in the evening with torches.

Now for anyone who wants to get their kids out walking

in the winter, just give them a torch.

It makes the whole thing so much more magical, exciting, fun.
