Welcome to Jimmy's Jobs of the Future. We've had a lot of high profile political and media guests

0:04.7

lately with Nick Clegg, Lionel Barber and last week William Hay. Today we're going back to

0:10.1

our roots a bit more with Barney, who is the founder of one of the fastest growing fintechs in the

0:15.8

United Kingdom. He's been very vocal on Twitter and LinkedIn about what the UK government was proposing to do at the budget.

0:24.6

So I thought it would be great to get him on to talk about that, talk about the difference between

0:27.9

ambition in the UK and the US, and what it's like scaling a company in the United States

0:33.6

1:21.4

So over the weekend, I'm, like, desperately Googling, like, strong female empowered names.

1:31.7

And Cleopatra, you know, the Egyptian emperor,

1:37.6

and she's a bit of a badass. So that's where it comes from. And then me, Cleo is available. And yeah, Cleo is it is today. And is Cleopatra now like a sort of mascot? I don't think we've ever like had a, no, there's no portraits, there's no statues.

1:49.7

We should maybe get one though, maybe we do.

1:51.5

It's quite, yeah.
