There's something about growing a plant from seed all the way back to seed again

that connects you with the cycles of the earth and really connects you with your seasons where you are,

connects you with the weather conditions that you experience.

Even if you're just growing on a pot on your windowsill or something like that,

I think it's such a vital way of reconnecting.

It's just really fun to do.

It's really nice to engage with plants in this way.

Rowan Lear is a librarian at the Glasgow Seed Library and is passionate about encouraging more people to grow plants and save seeds.

There are many reasons for this growing movement of seed saving as you'll hear.
