Harold Blower, born in 1910, was an American tennis player who, in late 1952,

checked into the New York State Psychiatric Institute, seeking help for the depression that plagued him after his divorce.

Later diagnosed with pseudo-neurotic schizophrenia,

he began a treatment program that, according to the sources,

seemed to be helping him out tremendously.

However, despite the progress, Harold Blower,

who voluntarily checked into the NYSPI, never got the chance to leave the facility. What he didn't realize at the time was that, in looking for treatment, he placed himself

directly in the path of the Office of Scientific Intelligence, the CIA, and more dangerously,

members of Project MK Ultra.

While at the Institute, Harold was used as a test subject in experiments conducted by the Army Chemical Corps, a classified agreement between NYSPI that allowed them to study possible

chemical warfare compounds on their patients.
