And so we've been talking about the history of the appearance of the Holy Spirit as we have

it in Acts.

We started with Pentecost, if you recall, and we noted that Pentecost is called the

festival without a date, but it's not the festival without a day.

It always comes on the first day of the week. What's such a hot

deal about the first day of the week? Well, on the first day of the week, God said,

let there be light and there was light. Light came on the first day of the week. In fact,

every good thing happened on the first day of the week.

The Noahic covenant, the giving of the law, the birth of King David,

you just go down the list of just numbers of things that happen on the first day of the week,

specifically on Pentecost.

And so when we come into the time of Jesus and the apostles, we note that Jesus rose on the first day of the week.

We noticed that the Holy Spirit came on the first day of the week.

And so we sort of started talking about going to church on Sunday in that context.

But then going beyond that, we asked this question, what is going to church

anyway? What is going to church? In fact, if you're around me for very long, I don't even

like the phrase going to church very much. Because from my perspective,

theologically, where a Christian is, that's where the church is. Period. It doesn't
