I want to talk to you today about the guidance of the Holy Spirit, because one of the things

that he offers us is his guidance and his leadership, and we should be so much seeking that and desiring to know what

God wants us to do, because anytime we do what we want to do, if it's not what God wants us to do,

it is not going to work out. How many of you've already had that sad experience of trying to run

your own life and found out that

it really is, that you're really just not so good at it as you thought that you might be?

So I want to start in John 16, 7, although I was there last night, probably going to be reading this

pretty much every session because it reminds us of what the Holy Spirit wants

to do for us. Father, we thank you for the word today and approach the subject with reverence

and I ask you to bring truth out. However, I'm telling you nothing but the truth. This is Jesus

speaking. When I say that it is profitable, good,

expedient, advantageous for you that I go away. How could anything be better than Jesus?

Because if I don't go away, the comforter, the counselor, the helper, the advocate, the

intercessor, the strengthener, and the standby will not come to you into close fellowship with you but if i go away

i will send him to you to be in close fellowship with you now one of the things one of the reasons why it was

better to have the holy spirit than Jesus was because, first of all,
