Built in 1951 and managed by the Felician Sisters, Yorktown Memorial Hospital in Yorktown, Texas, has become notorious for its chilling past. Originally serving the community as a healthcare facility, this 30,000-square-foot building saw an unsettlingly high number of deaths during its years in operation—some say as high as 2000. After its closure as a hospital in 1986, it reopened briefly as a drug rehabilitation center, only deepening its disturbing reputation.
