Almost but not quite halfway through with this epic series introducing everything about Chinese philosophy

that you'd need to know if you ever participated in a game show where the category was Chinese

philosophers.

Here I'm going to introduce Shins' other claim to fame,

namely his two famous students.

Today in this episode, we're going to look at legalism

and how it became the ideology embraced by the first Chin Emperor.

And I guess you could say, a lot of emperors who followed as well.

Let's first talk about Hanfei and Lee Suh.

Master Hanfei, of course famous for the Hanfei Z, the 55 chapter book that bears

his name, and Li Sseh, the Machiavellian right-hand man to the first emperor, and also a giant in Chinese culture, too.

Both of these luminaries from Chinese history studied at the Gishia Academy in Chi under

Shinshe.

Shinshe died in 238 BC, the final and longest reigning Joe Dynasty King

King Nan was deposed in 256 BC in Shinsa's lifetime.

Then from 259 to 221 BC E,

Chinsheir Huang will do his thing and finish up his conquest of all the warring states.

And after his annexation of the once unstoppable, she state, there will be a

unified Chinese country with an emperor ruling over a large landmass for the first time.
