Welcome to another episode of Why Are You Laughing, a history of comedy podcast.

And today, I am pleased to present to you, the history of Comtown.

That's right.

I have taken on a project that, at best, if it finds its target audience, they'll all call me gay for doing this.

I believe this is the first podcast we've ever covered.

We've gotten a lot of requests for big podcasts like the Joe Rogan experience and Kill Tony.

And I said, well, if we're going to do a history of a podcast, we should start with one that has come to its natural conclusion,

which Comptown is really the one podcast that has had a long run,

grew a passionate fan base, and just kind of ended.

Even podcasts that fit that description like history hyenas or something,

didn't have the same impact that I think Comtown did.

It was a shorter run.

Then they get back together now, stuff like that.
