and I am joined by my co-host, producer, and good friend Tom Bell.

Tom, how are you today?

I am well, Michael.

How was your week?

My week's been fine.

You know, just, oh, I went to a Sand Hill Crane Preserve, a sanctuary.

Ooh, okay.

The weekend is very cool because we live in the Pacific Flyway.

Okay.

And so they, as Creedon's Clearwater would have enjoyed, they, as they migrate from the Arctic, New Mexico, they settle in Lodi, California.

Oh, they get stuck in Lodi.

Yeah, yeah, which isn't far from where I live.

So the Folsom Zudocens, we did a field trip there.

And it was really interesting to see them. These were the

greater sandhill cranes. There are also lesser sandhill cranes, which both species will be back

in October. So we're hoping to go back then. Nice.

These birds are four feet tall.
