it's very important that they have a guy on the roster who can play shortstop.

I think it's going to be important as Lindor gets older.

As much as we love that Lindor plays every game, it's great, it's fantastic, it's amazing.

He's getting older.

He's on a long, long-term contract.

There needs to be days.

I'm not saying it's often, but there needs to be days where Francisco Lindor DHS, or

dare I say, doesn't play.

And I think coming off of the year he had a great year, an MVP caliber season, coming

off of that kind of season, coming off a season in which he's getting a little bit older,

I think this would be a good year for Francisco Lindorna, maybe not play 162 games.

Last year, he played 152 games.

But remember, the games he missed, really the only games he missed, was related to the bad back he had at the

end of the year. The last three years, here are the games played by Lindor, 161, 161, 152.

Lindor is 31 years old. He assigned to a contract that takes him through 2031. I'm not telling you it's got to be every week or even once every other

week, but I do think it would be smart. But even late in games, Mets are losing 14 to 2.

Mets are up 14 to 2. Wouldn't it be smart to get Lindor off of his feet? So I think it is very

important for this roster to have someone who can play shortstop.

And I just went through the names.

Acuna and Maricio would be the only guys besides Iglesias that could provide that as a backup shortstop.

I don't mind your outlook as, hey, you know what?

Francis Gleondor can't play a hundred to every single day, every single year again.
