The NBA world and Lakers fans were primed for an exciting rematch of Sunday's matchup (and beatdown) of the Western Conference-leading OKC Thunder, but that might not be what's on tap on Tuesday. The Lakers' injury report lists Rui Hachimura as out, which hints at a prioritization of Wednesday's game in Dallas vs. the Mavericks. (Whether you consider this Luka Doncic's "Revenge Game," Anthony Davis' "Revenge Game," Nico Harrison's "Revenge Game," or "Everybody's Revenge Game," it's very clearly a "Revenge Game" to somebody.) But perhaps the bigger hint is Doncic, LeBron James, Austin Reaves, Gabe Vincent and Dorian Finney-Smith all listed as questionable, which feels like the preemptive punting in OKC. There's a logic to this, but should the Lakers lose, it puts even more pressure to win two of the last three games to guarantee a three-seed without other teams helping them out.
