0:09.4	We're going to talk about something that is warfare. If you know anything about what's been
0:16.5	happening on college campuses lately, I have had the privilege of being part of a team called Unite,
0:22.8	and we have been going to college campuses. I'm going to talk about that in a minute. But we have
0:26.7	seen such warfare in our lives. Has anybody else felt that lately? I feel like the dark is getting
0:32.4	darker, right? The dark is getting darker. But I can also tell you, and I pray that you will leave here so
0:38.8	encouraged that the light is getting brighter too. The light is getting brighter. And so my prayer
0:46.6	is that in these last minutes together, you will just feel this call, this clear call to go out
0:53.8	and to live the full, wholehearted life that God
0:57.6	has called you to. Underneath the human condition, what's so cool about studying humanity
1:03.7	and studying the Bible is you realize some things about all the humans that God baked into us.
1:10.8	And one of the things that God baked into us is that we
1:14.4	deeply desire to be seen, soothed, and safe. Seen, soothed, and safe. That is what you actually
1:22.2	come into the world craving. When you are born as a newborn baby, that baby comes into the world. Kurt
1:30.1	Thompson says it this way, looking for someone looking for them. We all come into the world,
1:35.0	looking for someone looking for us. Some universal things about us that are true is that we're
1:41.5	terrified if we don't have that.
1:48.9	And we're so afraid every day, in fact, every day of the rest of our lives,
1:51.5	we will live afraid unless we go to war with it,
1:55.9	that we are not seen, that we are not sooth, that we are not safe.
2:02.1	And I would say most of us live as if we are not seen and we are not soothed and we are not safe.
2:06.7	And I'm going to say this, it's fair.
