Tonight, Jim and I searched high and low

to see the Little Helper, a Gothic horror movie

set in the 1940s around a failing British estate and the house that is crumbling around the remaining last few members of the family.

I was really excited to see this film Jim.

Yeah. I was expecting like, Down Abbey crossed with the witch.

That kind of really atmospheric horror and I feel like if you are your expectations are that

dial them down because this is certainly a ghost story.

And I don't think it's a spoiler because it's billed as a gothic ghost story, but it's

rem-

If you can tell it's a ghost story by the ringing bells in the trailer.

I don't know what calibration you got going, but it needs to be changed.

It needs to be slightly, you need to turn a dial towards ghost.

Okay. It is a g It is a ghost story and is gothic but I found it remarkably not scary.

Yeah. It was interesting and a really weird kind of slice of like like you because I love

downtown Abbey. This is like downtown Abbey in 20 years after you know Lord Grantham has fucked up the money one more time and

everything is just crumbling and it's just the British gentry, you know, mourning their fate.

Uh, what did you think of it?

I thought this movie was remarkably boring.
