Summary

Contrary to popular pronouncements, it does seem as though the national protests around the killing of George Floyd contributed to the rise of COVID-19 infections. The allegation that Russia has been bankrolling the killing of U.S. service personnel in Afghanistan. Also, the national spasm of madness—from the president on down—continues unabated. Source

Rose and high Christine. Hi, John. Okay, so we have a hugely confusing situation regarding

0:50.2

the virus right now. So the 14 day change in the number of cases yesterday versus 14 days

0:58.9

ago or this morning versus 14 days ago, there's an increase of 65%. Okay, the death toll is

1:09.6

down 25%. So when you are hearing about the surge in cases, what you're hearing about is a surge

1:18.8

in positives in testing and you are seeing a bit of a rise in hospitalizations, not a huge rise,

1:28.8

but a bit of a rise in hospitalizations and you are seeing no increase in death rates. So death

1:38.4

rates are a lagging indicator because people get sick and they get sicker and they get sicker

1:42.8

and then they die. But the hospitalization's number is flat in Florida, in Texas and it's not flat

1:55.1

because it doesn't help scare people into staying inside and thinking that the virus is never

2:23.0

going away. But yesterday I was absolutely shocked to discover that in Minnesota, since the

2:30.6

protests, really beginning almost, I don't know, exactly around June 15th or so, among people in

2:40.6

Minnesota ages 20 to 29, their percentage of new positives absolutely skyrocketed, broke free

2:49.7

of the rest of the population and went soaring through the roof. Now this also is counter,

2:57.3

this counters the narrative out there that protests weren't a threat to public health

3:05.2

as many public health officials claimed. The piece in which I found that data tries to make the

3:15.0

case that these cases, that the uptick comes from a bar or a cluster of bars in a certain area of
